hi there,
well, after pouring through books & blogs on integrating Actionscript with mySQL & PHP, I'm finally getting over that initial queasy feeling I got when my client decided they had their heart set on a flash shopping cart with all the bells & whistles to be integrated with the database someone else had already built for them.
Right now I'm trying to decide whether or not to rely on passing info to the shopping cart interface via the query line, or to upgrade them to dedicated hosting so I can install flash remoting. What I've read so far online has me leaning towards installing remoting, but before I jump in with amfphp, has ANYONE here done this, and if so do you have an opinion on using one or the other?
And heck, if you have any other advice, I'd appreciate it, as these waters are slightly uncharted for me (but hey, that's what keeps it exciting right?:)
gracias in advance,
Ursula
